There are a lot of things buyers need to do before they talk to a lender.  Getting these things ready and getting to the lender well before you have found your perfect house is more important than ever before.

For the last several years we have faced constant changes in the national loan requirements.  Now we have a new law that is effecting the way that almost every home sale is closed in the nation.  It makes the process take longer and any loan problem along the way could keep you from getting that perfect home because a seller wouldn’t delay the closing.  Since neither of us want that, I want to make sure that my buyers have a Full Pre-Approval(or are very close to having it) before we write a contract on a home.

This website highlights the county where I do most of my real estate business.  For those who don’t know, it is just west of St. Louis County.  If you take I-70 west from St. Louis, you enter St. Charles County as you cross the Missouri River.  A little trivial:  The section of I-70 between the Missouri River and Wentzville is the first road built specifically to be an Interstate Highway.  Of course, it had change dramatically since 1959!
